What does air freight cost per kg from Dubai? There is no single reliable price per kg for all Dubai air cargo. The same gross weight can produce different charges depending on packed volume, commodity, carrier acceptance, routing and cargo-ready date. A price for an airport-to-airport movement cannot be used as a delivered price for a customs-cleared shipment. This guide explains what you should compare when requesting a quote. Gross weight versus the weight on your invoice For the site's planning method, volumetric kg equals length × width × height in centimetres divided by 6,000. Confirm the tariff's divisor and rounding. A 50 kg pallet measuring 100 × 80 × 60 cm has a planning volumetric weight of 80 kg. The starting chargeable weight is therefore 80 kg, not 50 kg. Can packaging lower the freight bill? Measure packaging before and after a proposed change. Reduce unnecessary void space while protecting the product and retaining required handling marks. Ask whether the cargo must remain upright, cannot be stacked or needs a forkliftable base. A lighter crate that is unsafe or non-compliant is not a saving.
